What is a Dummy Player?
When there is a goal, assist, penalty or other statistic recorded on the game
sheets the score keeper assigns it to a jersey number, and in turn that is assigned
to a player. In a perfect world there would be no real need for these Dummy Players,
but in reality the recorded jersey number doesn't always match a player. In these
instances we create a false player to accept the stat.
Why do I see a player listed twice on the player drop list?
There are times when one player will play for more than one team.
A player is created for each team.
I am having difficulty viewing the site. It does not seem to function properly.
It is likely that you have your Session Cookies turned off. These are on by
default so if they are off then you, or someone using your computer, has turned
them off. Turn them back on and all will be well. Session cookies are used to pass
information from one page to another, like which team or player is selected.
Some of my stats are wrong. What can I do to have them fixed?
All stats go through three steps. First, they are recorded at the game by the
scorekeepers. Then, they are entered into the database, and finally, they are
reported to you by the site. The database is very simple in that it will report
exactly what was entered, right or wrong. If you see something that doesn't jive
contact the league and someone will look into correcting it for you.
How do I print the stats without the page headers showing up?
Each stats page has a icon labelled 'Printable Version' to the right of the main header of
each report. By clicking this icon, you are brought to a printer friendly version of the page.
You can either click the icon labelled 'Click to Print' or, if your browser does not support this feature,
simply select 'File/print' from your browser menu options.
The team schedule pages have different colors for wins and losses. How can I
print the stats and show the colors?
The colors are part of the background in the report. In your Options menu you
will have to adjust a setting that prints backgrounds. Careful though, printing
backgrounds on other pages could use up a lot of your ink. If you do want to print
the background colors on this report remember to turn this off again before you
print things from other sites.
